When I look up at the sky tonight, I will think of you and your loved one. I'll find a star*** the one perfect, shimmering star that looks like it could be brand-new, and I will make a wish in my heart for you to feel their love and presence with you still. For comfort and healing to shine down on you, for peace to light your path. In Sympathy

Another good one gone too soon. Ms. Stanford took me, under her wing, in the AD office as an "assistant" so that I could fill my schedule my Senior Year. She was always so kind to everyone. I'm not sure who was the bigger Polar Fan her or Mrs. Kern-Blystone. Either way, she showed me more about team spirit then anyone. Rest in peace Ms. Stanford. Give Bobbers a big ol' Poler Bear hug from me.

Ms. Stanford was the kindest, most generous and supportive person I had the pleasure to know. She was the Athletic Director at Woodward High School. During my four years there (1986-1990) she was a major support to me as I perused my athletic career. We kept in touch over the years and I had the honor of calling her my friend. I know she will be missed dearly by many, myself included. My sincerest condolences to her family. Rest in heaven my dear friend.

I have so many good memories of Connie. She did more for Woodward students than anyone ever realized. She also nominated me for induction in the Hall of Fame. I wish we could have celebrated an induction for her. She was a true pioneer for women in sports management. She was always concerned for others. I remember when she found out that our health insurance would not pay for shingles vaccine....which cost about $200. She made many calls and warned everyone she knew about this dread infection and invited us to join her requests to our health insurer to upgrade our coverage...and eventually, they did! Connie Stanford...may her name be a blessing. shalom!
