We met Tom at the health care center. We visited once a month and brought him Holy Communion. He was always so happy to see us come. We saw him January 2nd and he was very tired. We did not stay long after we prayed with him. We are so thankful that he became our friend. He was very special to us and we know that Jesus was there to take him home.January 13th.. All of you are in our prayers as you grieve his parting. May he rest in peace... Tom Carroll, a kind man with a kind heart . I met Tom last summer when the radiator on my truck overheated and I called AAA to have it hauled into the shop. Tom was the man that responded. We had a great conversation while loading my truck onto his hauler. Tom expressed to me that he had been having some physical difficulties and I urged him to give all of his troubles, aches and pains to the Lord. He was very receptive to our spiritual conversation as I rode with him to take my truck to the shop. I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to meet Tom and I know that it was no coincidence that our paths crossed that day. Tom's troubles aches and pains are all behind him now as he rests in the loving arms of his savior Jesus Christ. As the saying goes, God works in mysterious ways . Tom left quite an impression with me, though we only spent a few hours together on that summer afternoon . Again, I know it was not coincidence that I recognized his face when I saw his obituary in the Toledo Blade. I too, am saddened at his passing. Rest in peace my new found friend, I'm sure the Lord recognizes your face also and welcomes you home. .
