Regis L. Shadler, 71, of Northwood, Ohio went to be with the Lord on July 12, 2016 while surrounded by his family. He served with the U.S. Army for 2 years after high school, and was a member of the Catholic War Veterans, a member and past Master of the Sylvania Pyramid Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Cooley Canal Yacht Club. He was also a member of the Zenobia Shrine, Zenobia Motorcycle Escort, and the Zenobia Legion of Honor. Regis also belonged to the Retired Lucas County Sherriff Auxiliary, and enjoyed working with the Clay Center Police Department. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and motorcyclist. Regis was a loving husband and father; he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Esther (Myers) Shadler, and his sister, Patricia Flick. Regis leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Suzanne; children, Angela and KC Miler, Dominic Shadler, and Annette (Jerome) Schultz; grandchildren, Heather (Luke) Pentycofe, Elijah Bijarro, Alyssa Schumacher, and Cory Miler; great-grandchildren, Audrey Ana Rose and Lydia Holland; sister, Barbara Angus; brother, Thomas (Linda) Shadler; Aunt, Elizabeth Shadler, and many other family members and friends. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 AM at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 530 Regina Pkwy, Toledo, on July 23, 2016, a Masonic Service will immediately follow at the Sylvania Pyramid Masonic Lodge, 3510 N. Holland Sylvania Rd, Toledo. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Regis may be given to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr, Tampa, FL 33607, Promedica Hospice, 5855 Monroe St. #201, Sylvania, OH 43560, or the American Cancer Society, 6600 W. Sylvania Ave, Sylvania, OH 43560.
