Julian W Brown, 93, died Monday June 25, 2018 at Genesis Village in Toledo, OH. He was born August 29, 1924 in Dundee, MI, to Earl and Florence (Powell) Brown. Julian graduated from Dundee High School in 1942, and served in the US Navy as a cook from 1943 until 1953. He also worked at Mather Company, in Milan, MI until retiring in 1986. Julian was a member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. He served on two mission trips, one to Israel and one to Africa. He also served in the disaster relief in NYC for 911. He was a volunteer cook for Monroe Missionary Baptist Church youth camp for many years. He loved camping and fishing. In his later years he enjoyed making and selling his jewelry.
Julian is survived by daughters, Dixie (Tom) Maurer, Cheryl (Richard) Case, Roxie Andler, and Vickie (Robert) Stokes; 9 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents; wife, E. Marie Brown in 1994; brothers, Earldean, Harold, Robert, and Floyd Brownl; and a great-granddaughter.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Genesis Village, 2429 S. Reynolds Rd. Toledo, OH; Pastor Roy Sutherland of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate.
