Judith L. Waugh, of Toledo, died Monday, November 26, 2018 at the age of 78. Along with her twin brother, she was born on August 5, 1940 in Belaire, Ohio to William and Kathryn Brubaker.
Judy was known for her cooking, crafts, and as the creator of Memory Bears. She was a past president of the Ottawa Plains Garden Club and was a golf champion first at Whiteford Valley and then at Heatherdowns Country Club, where she was a long-time member.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Buettner, and brothers, James and Dr. Gerald Brubaker (her twin), and granddaughter, Lauren. Judy is survived by her children, Bryan (Lisa) and Bradley (Amy), and her grandchildren, Nicklas, Benjamin and Sydni Waugh.
Judy passed away peacefully at her home after a 2 year battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She will be remembered for her free spirit and positive energy. Near death, she made the conscious decision to donate her earthly remains to the University of Toledo Medical Center with the hope of assisting others battling cancer. Services will be private. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Francis de Sales School or a charity of the donor’s choice.
