Dave Harrsen passed away Sept 4, 2018. A life-long Toledoan, Dave graduated from Roy C. Start High School in 1966, attended the University of Cincinnati, University of Toledo and Owens Community college. In his 35-year career at Bostwick and Braun, he was instrumental in designing computer programs for the company.
He gave back to his community by volunteering at Cherry St. Mission, Claver House and a community garden at Monroe St. United Methodist Church. Dave enjoyed antiquing and genealogy, collecting books and writing. He spent many happy hours with his friends around the neighborhood, at Central Hot Dog on Front St. and on Facebook.
Dave is survived by his son Christopher, grandson Drake, sisters Linda Keller, Kate Foggia and Amy Richards, uncle Scotty Packard, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents William and Lucy Harrsen and sister Sue Harrsen.
A memorial service was held at a later date. The family requests that sympathy be offered by supporting or volunteering at Cherry St. Mission, One Matters, or any charity that helps the poor or homeless.
