William "Bill" Robert Stoner of Waterville, was born to William P. Stoner and Eva M. (Waganfeald) on December 5, 1948. Bill was a 1966 graduate of Bowsher High School.
Bill attended Stautzenberger College for a half year prior to enlisting in the Marines in March of 1968. He completed training in Avionics Technology and Communications System Maintenance. Bill served in Vietnam from 1970 to 1971. Bill completed his four years of service in the U. S. Marines in March 1972.
A roofer by trade, he worked for various contractors including Nordmann Roofing and K. A. Roofing.
He is survived by his children, Kimberly (Scott) Floyd of Swanton, and William (Erika) Stoner of Delta; grandchildren, Derek, Katie, Calleigh and Wyatt; siblings, Nancy A. Stover, of Toledo, Janet L. Zielinski (Smith) of Florida, Luanne (John) Haley of Temperance, and Mark (Gladys) Stoner of Perrysburg. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private graveside service will be held later at Highland Memory Gardens.
