William H. Sine Jr., son of the late William and Kathryn (Lang) Sine died October 24, 2024 of cancer at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo.
On February 1, 1968 New York Central Railroad merged with Pennsylvania Railroad and Bill was the man that coupled the two train cars together. He was given the clock number 111 for the new company Pennsylvania New York Central Transportation, that became Penn Central Railroad.
Bill was an avid golfer for most of his adult life. In his later years he maintained and watered the Bay View Senior Golf Course, a job he loved. He was on many leagues and loved all his golf and railroad buddies dearly. Bill proudly served in the Marines.
He is survived by two sisters, Judi Munger of Naples, FL and Linda (Steven) Zielinski of Union City, PA; daughter, Darlene Euler (Douglas) of Toledo, OH and a son, Jesse Sine and his fiancee, Sharha Zed; grandchildren, Victoria Taylor, Daric, Nathan Euler, and Jaravin Sine. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 1 p.m.- 3 p.m. at the VFW Post 4906, 2161 Consaul Street, Toledo, OH 43605.
The family would like express their gratitude appreciation to the staff at Mercy Health St. Vincent, Hospice of Northwest Ohio and his good friends, Rodney Cutlip and E.J. Leizerman.
