William "Bill" Sabados

William Paul Sabados, 73, died July 24, 2023, in Toledo, OH. He was born in Cleveland on February 4th, 1950 to Paul and Virginia (Balazs) Sabados.

Bill was successful in his career as a CIO within the insurance industry and in addition to being well versed with computer technology to assist in his field.

A personal passion of Bill was running. He loved competing in Marathons across the United States and often when traveling by car, would stop to make sure he got to run in that state. He was only missing a handful of states when he passed. His passion expanded over 40 years and some of his major highlights were the Cleveland Revco Marathon and multiple New York City Marathons. As Bill aged, he started setting his sights back to half marathons and was very pleased with top placements in his age groups all the way up to his 70’s. His last half marathon was in December of 2021 at the age of 71. Rain, snow or the heat never slowed his desire to run as he used to count the miles that he clocked over the years, the last number we knew of was over 200,000 miles. This just shows his love for running.

Bill was the husband to Linda (Schad) Sabados of 50 years. Bill was the father of Jacquelyn Sabados, brother to Bruce Sabados and Marion (Sabados) Lu.
