William F. Papenfus, 73, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 31st peacefully surrounded by his family after a brave fight during a long illness. He graduated from E. L. Bowsher High School in 1966. He served in the US Navy from 1966 to 1970. After his service he graduated from Owens Community College with an A.A in Accounting. He proudly worked at Food Town for 25 years and then worked at The Andersons for 15 years. His favorite activities were spending time with his family, having family parties/dinners with his sisters and their families and going to Mud Hens games. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cynthia (Ennis) Papenfus; children: Gregory (Kelly) Papenfus and Suzannah (Howard) Haley; three grandchildren: Lily Papenfus, Abby Papenfus and Logan Haley. He is also survived by his sisters: Mrs. Carol Yeager, Mrs. Annette (Tom) Fellabaum, Mrs. Patricia Fox, Mrs. Teresa Stuckey, and Mrs. Roberta Chapman along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Luetta Papenfus; sister Linda Parks; and brothers-in-law: Don Yeager, Rob Stuckey, Kevin Fox, Charlie Chapman and Melvin Parks. His family is having a private dinner at his request. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Heart Association.
