William Thomas Mclaughlin

William "Bill" T. McLaughlin Jr., 83, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on September 21, 2021. He passed away from complications of the brain tumor he battled since 2014. He was born in Ferndale, Michigan on May 4, 1938 to his parents William and Lillian. He graduated high school from Lake Orion High School in 1956. Bill continued his education and graduated college from Lawrence Technological Institute in Southfield, Michigan. Bill retired after a successful 30 year career at Ford Motor Company. In his retirement, he went on to start and run several companies all focused on one of his main interests, computers and technology. In his retirement he moved to Sun City, Arizona for over 10 years. He loved traveling and was constantly making new travel plans. Bill was above all a faithful Christian servant. He actively served at the churches he attended. His areas of expertise were sound engineering and implementing church management software that he developed and managed with churches across the country. Bill was a family man and always looked for ways to bring the family together. Bill spent the last several years creating his family tree and successfully traced his family tree back to the 1600’s. He was married to Rose Marie McLaughlin for over 50 years until her passing on April 2, 2017. Bill then met and married a wonderful Christian woman, Nancy Loretta Wilkerson, on February 24, 2018. He passed while holding her hand at Kingston Care Center of Perrysburg Ohio. Bill (Dad) will be remembered as a witty, caring, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillian McLaughlin Sr.; sister, Betty Chambers; wife, Rose Marie McLaughlin; daughter, Denise Marie Stephens; son-in-law, Dennis Allen Ringer. He is survived by his sister, Joyce Bunner; brother, David McLaughlin (Sherry); wife, Nancy Loretta Wilkerson; children, William Thomas McLaughlin III (Connie), Tamorah Jean Buskirk, Kimberly Renee Stephens (Andy); grandchildren, Julie Marie Cooper (Mollie), Joel Austin McMullen, Chad Michael McMullen (Kristin), Drew Taylor Stephens, Connor Patrick Stephens, Drake Lewis Ringer and Kade William Ringer as well as countless extended family members.
