William R. "Bud" Madden went home to be with his Lord, Friday December 9, 2022. He was surrounded by his wife, Janet, and family.
Bud was born to John and Elizabeth Madden on August 16, 1940. He enlisted in the Navy after graduating from Libbey High School and served from 1958 to 1964. Bud and Janet worked in their church for years (Toledo Baptist Temple and First Baptist Church in Cottonwood, AZ) as Sunday school teachers, choir and the bus ministry. Bud was an avid rockhound and loved stock car racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carolyn Gable. Bud is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Janet (Lazarus); brother, John E. (Marsha) Madden II; sister, JoAnn Coop; sister-in-law, Peggy (Ron) Wade and children, Kimberley (Fred) Wilson, William Madden Jr., Matthew (Kelly) Madden, and Melissa (Anthony) Davis. He had five grandchildren, Ian, Martin, and Connor Madden and Samantha and Spencer Davis. He had 3 great granddaughters, Elisabeth, Lilith and Aeris Madden.
The family would like to thank the Medical ICU at Toledo Hospital and Ebeid Hospice at Flower Hospital for their wonderful care over the last days of his life. A memorial service will be held in the first part of the New Year.
