William K. Johnson I of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at the age of 84, at St. Vincents Hospital in Toledo, Ohio.
William was born on April 19, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio to Lawrence and Inez Johnson. William attended and graduated from Scott High School. He then met his wife, Julia Contreras, where they were married for 61 years on December 26,1964. William joined the army in 1964 and was stationed in the Dominican Republic. After serving in the army, William worked for the railroad in Toledo, Ohio till he retired in April 2003.
William always enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley till he was 72 years old, along with exercising, playing poker with the family and going out to breakfast with all his buddies. His primary devotions were to his wife and to his faith in "God". He was devoted to his church (Main Street) in Walbridge, Ohio.
William is survived by his children, Stacy (Ernie) Paimli, William "Kemp" (Brenda) Johnson, Audra Johnson; grandkids, Garry (Crystal) Mallory, Will (Angel) Mallory, Penny (Morgan) Law, along with 5 great grandkids.
Proceeded in his death by his parents and his lovely wife, Julia; brother, Ted Johnson; and his sister, Patricia Kiplin
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 6, 2026, at Fraternal Order of Eagle, Maumee Eagles at 2301 Detroit Ave Maumee, Ohio 43560 from 2pm - 6pm
