William J. Dilgart

William Dilgart, 77, died on January 13, 2022, at Ebeid Hospice in the arms of his wife. Bill was born February 9, 1945 to Donald and Virginia. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1963, attended the University of Toledo, and joined the United States Navy in 1965. In 1968 Bill was employed by Northwest Orient Airlines where he worked until his retirement in 2007 due to a stroke. In 1999 Bill was honored by receiving the Presidents Award for superior contributions to the success of Northwest Airlines. He was also on the History Channel and the Discovery Channel representing Northwest Airlines. Bill and Marie enjoyed many cruises to the Caribbean and Mexico. Bill also enjoyed his 1967 Bonneville Pontiac Convertible and the 1965 Volkswagen Bug which he took to many car shows. Bill is survived by his wife Marie; daughter Sherri Croley; son Ryan (Leila); sister Joann Hauenstein, and grandchildren Logan Croley, Lauren Croley and Lily Dilgart. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sylvania on Saturday, March 12 at noon. All family and friends are welcome.
