William A. Dearing

William Bill Dearing, 85, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully, November 16, 2016, after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Avis; children, Julie (Terry) Hood, Becky Dearing, and Shawn (Lisa) Dearing; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Janet Cvetanovich and Cherry Santus. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Mary Dearing, and siblings, Paul, Bob, Linda and Judy. Bill founded the Dearing Greenhouse in 1954, and they ran a successful business for over 50 years. He was involved with the Ohio Farm Bureau for several years, holding many positions with them over the years. His family and close friends were precious to him; his strong faith and character guided and supported his strong family. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be given to the Cancer Society and the Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
