Wesley [Wes] Favorite died on Monday, January 29, 2018 after a short illness. Wes was the son of Paul S. Favorite and Georgina Rosenberg. Wes was a hardworking man. As a teen, he was a Pin Setter at local bowling alleys, worked with his Uncle in their family donut shop while working at Libbey-Owens-Ford. His work ethic allowed him the ability to become a respected finish carpenter and builder. He built hundreds of residential homes. Over his career, as construction superintendent for Rudder Construction, he built dozens of condominium complexes in Toledo. He served as Vice Commodore of the Toledo Sailing Club where he was responsible for many club improvements. Wes was fortunate to be able to retire early and pursue his passion: fishing. He spent winters in Key Largo, Florida with his wife Frances and entertained family and friends there for many years. He eventually returned to Toledo with Frances where he enjoyed golf and volunteered his time as Starter and Marshal for local courses. He will be missed by all who knew him for his integrity and willingness to help others. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ted and first wife, Colleen [Kirby]. Surviving are his wife Frances, brother Gene Favorite, children: Jennifer Rose, Nanci Currie (Richard), Paul Favorite (Sheryl), grandchildren: Eric Rose (Angie), Jared Currie, Ashley (Andy) Faulman, Travis Currie, Troy and Taylor Favorite, great-grandchildren: Griffin Faulman, Kali Stanton, Elizabeth Cofer and two great-great grandchildren: Karlyanne Cofer and Charlotte ONeil. Services will be private. The family requests donations be made to ProMedica Ebeid Hospice. The family also wishes to thank the Ebeid staff and physicians and all of his caregivers and neighbors for their gifts of compassion and care.
