Wayne Whitaker

Wayne Whitaker, 84, passed away on May 11, 2015 in Perrysburg, Ohio. Wayne was born in Monroe, Michigan to Henley and Minnie Whitaker on September 27, 1930.” A graduate of Monroe High School, Mr. Whitaker served in the U.S. army during the Korean War. In his free time, Wayne enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and riding his bike. He retired from GM Powertrain in 1995. In his retirement he spent time traveling and walking his dog. He is survived by his son Scott (Macaela) Whitaker of Toledo, Ohio and daughter Cyndi (Carl) Daniels of Harrogate, Tennessee, three grandchildren Duff (Angel) Daniels, Elizabeth (Jeremy) Daniels, and David Jones, two great-grandchildren, one sister, and one brother. Wayne was predeceased by his wife, Catherine, daughter Elaine Cousino, his parents, two sisters, and four brothers. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
