Wayne S. Reed

With deep sorrow, we share the passing of Wayne S. Reed on April 4, 2026, at age 84, following a courageous battle with dementia. A devoted servant of Jehovah and a member of the Northwood Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Wayne had a life centered on faith and family. While his final years brought challenges, he never lost his gentle spirit and he is now finally free from pain and confusion.

In the years prior to his diagnosis, Wayne enjoyed traveling, camping, and many outdoor activities but his true hobby was spending time with his wife.

Wayne was preceded in death by both parents and siblings. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan Reed, and children, Pamela Schisler (Alex Roys), Wayne S. Reed (Angela), Cristen Vanek, Becky Dunsmore (Jeff), and Bonnie Mitchell-Ansell (Scott). He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio and the dedicated caregivers who supported not only Wayne but also Sue over the last few years. In lieu of a funeral service the family has decided they will celebrate his life at a later date.
