Wanda Jane Whitaker

Wanda Jane Whitaker, age 64, of Defiance, Ohio and formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away with the presence of her family at Brookview Health Care Center on Monday, July 16, 2018. She was born on September 11, 1953 in Glendale, Ohio to Walker and Elizabeth Whitaker. Wanda’s life was truly inspirational! She fought many courageous battles with her health. Wanda was an avid traveler who appreciated the freedom that being on the road provided her. She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Christensen of Cincinnati; two sisters, Gloria Ann Cheek of Defiance and Peggy (Don) Bachard of Tecumseh; sister-in-law, Nancy Whitaker and 16 nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Whitaker and brother-in-law, Charles R. Cheek. Cremation services were performed by the Cremation Society of Toledo and a Burial Service will be held at a later date at Reading Cemetery, Reading, Ohio.
