Walter W Fritz

Walter W. Fritz 63 of Maumee passed away on September 22, 2011 in Hospice of N.W. Ohio. Born in Buchen, Germany on March 4, 1948 to Walter T. and Gerda (Dumkow) Fritz, he worked for AVCA Engineering, Middough, and later Diamond Inspection. He started his career as a piping designer and progressed to a safety supervisor at various refineries throughout the country. He was an active member of the Maumee Elks Lodge #1850 and enjoyed spending time and serving at both the Maumee and Toledo Lodges. Wally also was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2322 in Rossford. He enjoyed following sports especially his Tigers, Detroit Lions, and Michigan State Spartans. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter T. Fritz. Survivors are his mother, Gerda Fritz, of Toledo, sister, Marlene (Phil) Kasprzak of Myrtle Beach, SC, former wife, Carmen Fritz, of Whitehouse, son, Braden Fritz of Whitehouse, and daughter, Michelle (Ryan) Lusmann of Algonquin, IL.Wally requested there be no service after his passing.
