Vivian G. Coutchure, age 96, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully under the care of Hospice of Heatherdowns on July 15, 2023. She was born in Toledo, to Charles A. and Gertie May (Hartford) West. Vivian attended Clay High School and as a young lady, she worked at Overland and Jeep. She and her husband, Richard P. Coutchure married in 1945 and had 6 children. She played the saxophone in her early years, enjoyed dancing, and cherished her beloved pet and companion, Bullet, who loved to run and jump off curbs. Vivian took pride in being at home, taking care of her children,15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her family, extended family, and many friends.
Vivian is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Coutchure; son, Ronnie Coutchure, and daughter Donna L. Buckley; grandchildren, Jamie Lorraine, Jimmy John, and Michael Milam; great-grandson newborn twins, Jeremy, and Julian Cirisan. She is survived by her children, James of Saga, Michigan, Diana Miller, of Maumee, Sue Milam, of North Carolina, and Steven, of Walbridge.
At this time there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in September. Family and friends will be informed.
