Virginia Wygast

Virginia Wygast, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away February 2nd, 2022 at the age of 95. Virginia “Ginny” was born April 21,1926, in Toledo, OH, to the late Joseph and Lottie Ronda. She was a longtime member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church where she married Edward Wygast on August 2,1947. They went on to have one son, Gregory Wygast. Virginia worked at the former AP Parts in Toledo as an office clerk for several years. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Virginia enjoyed cooking, baking and dancing - especially the Polka. She was a member of the Toledo Area Polka Society (TAPS). Virginia is survived by her brother, David (Patricia) Ronda; grandchildren, Allison (Scott) Cochrane and Adam (Daneen) Wygast; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Lily, Sophia, Nolan, and Chloe . In addition to her parents, Joseph and Lottie Ronda, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wygast; son, Gregory Wygast; and sisters, Irene Kendziora, Delores Foltynski, and Joan "Joanne" Gasiorowski. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 at St. Adalbert Church, 3233 Lagrange St. Toledo, OH 43608 with visitation from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Adalbert & Hedwig Parish.
