Vickie L. Murray

Vickie Murray, 66 of Toledo, OH passed away from a battle with Lung Cancer and COPD on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Hospice Ebeid facility surrounded by her family and friends.

Vickie loved animals and would feed the stray cats in her neighborhood, and she would always feed the squirrels peanuts. She lived her life for her kids and grandkids.

She worked for many years as a Medical Transcriptionist at The Toledo Hospital, St.V’s, and St. Charles.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Armstrong-Weiss; grandmother, Peg Armstrong; and father, Larry Collins. She is survived by her twin sister, Laurie Collins; brothers, Larry Collins (Bonnie) and Jeff Collins (Debbie); son, Shaun Murray (Amanda); daughter, Rachel Murray (Danny); grandson, Bentley Murray; granddaughters, Aubrey Murray and Isabella Murray; many nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be a celebration of life for Vickie on Saturday, January 18, 2024, from 2:00 p.m.– 5:00 p.m. at Northtown Meadows Club House 6255 Telegraph Rd. Erie. MI 48133 .

The family would like to express their appreciation for the excellent care Vickie received from the nurses and staff at the Hospice Ebeid facility and a special thank you to Lisa Janowiecki, and Tammy Meller for all they did for Vickie and the family during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to Paws and Whiskers Cat Shelter.
