Vaughn Glenn Grant, age 81, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on July 12, 2015 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born to Frank and Marjorie (Marsh) Grant on August 6, 1933 in Zanesville, Ohio. Vaughn retired from Kroger in 2003 and he loved spending his time creating oil paintings and collecting coins and baseball cards. He enjoyed taking his metal detector to local beaches and parks, fishing, presidential trivia, and playing the piano and guitar. He was a member of the Trinity Nazarene Church in Sylvania. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Miriam, frequenting restaurants together; he was her everything. He also enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Patsy, whom he trusted wholeheartedly. Vaughn was preceded in death by his parents; his second wife, Patricia Patty Grant; his daughter Tammie Irene Grant, who passed at age 15; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Irene Grant; and 9 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Miriam Elizabeth Grant; grandchildren, Patsy Irene Grant, Jessica Gloeckl, and Joey Gloeckl; great-grandchildren, Dominic Michael Grant, CJ Grant, Brandon Allan Grant, Austen John Grant, Angel Marie Grant, Angalena Rose-Irene Grant, Robert Denko, Alvin Gibson, and Haley Gibson. He is also survived by his siblings, Richard Lee Grant, Seth Alfred Teddy Grant, and Hazel Thomas-Grant, and his first wife, Jackie Black. He was a sweet man, who would do anything for anyone; he will be missed by many.
