IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tyrone Emmitt
Watson
July 16, 1948 – February 10, 2026
Tyrone “Ronnie” Emmitt Watson, Age 77, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on February 10, 2026, at The University of Toledo Medical Center. Tyrone was born in Toledo, OH on July 16, 1948. He leaves to cherish his memory; daughters, Karen Arnold, Anita, Juanita, Regina and Wanda Rosvanis, Valentina Slaughter; brother, Antonio V. Watson (Goleda); Sisters, June M. Gaston and Katyna L. Wilson; Sister-in-laws, Linda Watson and Dee Dee Watson. He was preceded in death by his sons, Tyrone, Jr. and David Watson; parents, Helen M. and Emmitt Watson; sisters, Willie L. Suell, Doris J., Shirley A. Foster, Glória J., Joan A.; brothers, Victor L., Dennis D. and Roger T. Watson.
Tyrone attended Jesup W. Scott High and Macomber-Whitney Vocational Technical Schools in Toledo. He had a passion for auto mechanics and ceramic/wood shop classes – often bringing home trophies from his class projects and offering free radiator flushing or battery cleaning services to friends and family. He worked for Willis Day Ford Company in Tire Distribution. He was the owner of several Mr. Frosty Ice Cream trucks in the Ohio, Georgia and Florida areas for several years. Young and elderly customers would eagerly wait for “Mr. T” (some called him) after hearing his music chiming on the ice cream truck, as he approached the neighborhood throughout the year. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle, updating his van or car and making sure that he washed and waxed them on the weekends. He also, enjoyed taking care of his lawn and garden, listening to gospel music, talking on the telephone with friends and relatives, and enjoying a good cup of “Java” (coffee) in the morning.
Tyrone was a light to many and provided joy to everyone he was around.
Thank you to his loving family members, great friends, and wonderful neighbors for all your support.
A special thank you to the University of Toledo Medical Center doctors and entire medical team and the Ayden Skilled Facilities Healthcare of Waterville, Ohio attending staff members – who provided comfort care and communication as Tyrone journeyed through the emotional and spiritual “last progress of life”.
In lieu of services at this time, we will work with family and friends to have a Celebration of Life later.
