Trevor Avery Partee

February 19, 1996 — December 14, 2024

Trevor “Trev” Avery Partee, age 28, of Toledo, Ohio passed away surrounded by his loved ones on December 14, 2024, after a neurological complication that ultimately caused his heart to stop. Trev will be remembered for his soft-spoken demeanor, love of creation through culinary and music ventures, and his infectious smile and laugh.

Trevor was born to Heather (Stefango) Hartford and Christopher Partee on February 19, 1996. Trevor grew up in Toledo, raised by his mother Heather, and stepfather Kevin Hartford, alongside his sisters Tenley and Tatum Hartford. Growing up, Trevor exemplified discipline by spending hours mastering hobbies such as disc golf, hacky sack, Kendama, and skateboarding. While Trevor was incredibly talented in many areas, his greatest love was guitar. As a child, Trevor was gifted a guitar by his godfather, and from that day on, he spent the rest of his life perfecting his craft. This passion led to his participation in numerous bands including but not limited to Ten Cent Words, which he formed with his sister Tatum, and Northwest Ohio hardcore band Slice. To Trev it didn’t matter the size of the venue, stage, or crowd as long as he was playing music, he was content.

Beyond music, food was another channel for Trevor’s creative talents. He loved cooking, creating new dishes, and most of all, he loved eating and trying new foods. He was known for having “eyes bigger than his stomach” and a metabolism that “never caught up to him”. Trevor was able to foster his love for food every day through his work at Michael’s Gourmet Catering and Balance Pan-Asian Grille. Some of Trev’s favorite pastimes included attending concerts with his fiancé Trina for his favorite bands such as Angel Du$t, Basement, Citizen, Tigers Jaw, Turnover, and Turnstile. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and snowboarding, often alongside his father Christopher. However, on his days off, you could most often find him just “chilling” with his cat “Flapjack” and scrolling on his phone.

Trevor was preceded in death by 6 grandparents.

He is remembered and missed dearly by his parents, Heather (Stefango) and Kevin, and sisters, Tenley and Tatum Hartford.

Trevor is also remembered by his fiancé Trina Tran and their beloved cat “Flapjack”; his father Christopher Partee; his two other half-sisters Lilli and Rylei Partee; grandparents Jacqueline Stefango and Jim Linn; godfather Euvin Weeber; as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, bandmates, and co-workers.

Trevor was lost far too young and while we mourn his passing, we will be forever grateful for the time we had with him and the love he so freely gave. His legacy of compassion, thoughtfulness, and talent will live in all of us who were fortunate enough to have known him.
