Timothy Albert Leonard

Timothy A. Leonard, of Sylvania, OH, passed away unexpectedly on November 24th. He was 62.Tim taught at Siena Heights University in Adrian, MI for 34 years. He was an Associate Professor of Political Science and served as Division Chair: Social and Behavioral Science. He was a kind, gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor. Tim enjoyed travel and visited Egypt, Russia, China and India. Middle Eastern history and politics were his interests from an early age and he loved sharing his knowledge with his students.He will be greatly missed by his entire family: sister Rosemary (Ron) Pitkow and brothers Fred (Ellen) Leonard and Dan Leonard; nieces Michelle (Matt) Cleland and Hillary (Kurt) Kruse; nephews Brad (Tess) Montvai and Jamie (Anne) Leonard; great-niece Kayla Kruse; great-nephews William and Lucas Kruse; and sister-in-law Beryl Leonard. Tim was preceded in death by parents John and Sara Jane Leonard and brothers Terry and Greg.Family, friends, students, and colleagues are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, December 6th in the chapel at Siena Heights University in Adrian, MI. Visitation with family begins at 9:00am with tributes to Tim at 11:00am. There will be a funeral mass at noon. The family requests that donations be made in Tims memory and sent to Siena Heights University for use in their scholarship endowment fund. Online condolences may be shared below:
