Thomas L. Rogers, age 84, was born on August 1, 1941, in Pulaski, Virginia, to Benjamin and Callie (Mabe) Rogers. He passed away at his home in Toledo, Ohio, on January 18, 2026, with his son by his side, due to congestive heart failure.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Wilson-Rogers, and by his brothers, Joe, Fred, George, Jack, and Bob Rogers. He is survived by his son, Tommy Rogers; his granddaughter, Chelsea; and his great-granddaughter, Alayah.
Thomas began working as a sheet metal worker in 1966 with Local 33, where he dedicated many years to his trade. Following an almost fatal accident in 1992, he retired, yet remained a proud and active member of Local 33, continuing to pay his union dues until the day of his passing.
He was a longtime Miami Dolphins fan and enjoyed collecting currency of all types, interests that brought him quiet enjoyment throughout his life.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal memorial services.
Thomas will be remembered for his loyalty, perseverance, and strong work ethic.
