Thomas R. Moore

Thomas Richard Moore, 76, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Toledo Hospital. He was born in Napoleon, Ohio, on November 3, 1949, to Herbert and Virginia Moore. On May 9, 1986, he married the love of his life Patricia.

Thomas graduated from Liberty Center High School in 1967, and became a very hard worker for his entire life. He worked for Campbell Soup Co. and Silgan Containers for 25 years until his retirement in 2005. After he retired, he obtained his CDL from Owens and drove school bus and taxi in Bowling Green, Ohio, which he loved to do. Thomas’ greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He loved them all so very much, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Thomas is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patricia, of 40 years; his children, Kasey (Kirk) Hoover, Stephanie (Ryan) Arps, Dana (Mark) Cox, Ryan (Rowena) Slagle, Todd Slagle; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Nan Bretz; brother-in-law, Bud (Carol) Stearns; many nieces and nephews and friends. Thomas was proceeded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Ron Bretz and Barry Stearns; sister-in-law, Linda Nye; and very dear friend, Karen Schilt.

Services for Thomas will be private to his family. There will be a celebration of life for Thomas scheduled at a later date. Thomas’ family would like to extend their appreciation to everyone that has called, texted, and sent prayers to us during this very difficult time. Thomas will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Cremation will take place at the Cremation Society of Toledo.
