Thomas Damron

It is with the deepest, most saddest reality to announce the passing of Thomas Leigh Damron, age 76, of Temperance, Mi. Thomas passed away peacefully at his home, in Temperance, with his wife by his side.

Thomas “Tom” started life out with a love for his Mother , like no other. Helping her with many of his younger siblings, including two-mile walks to town, to get anything she needed. He began pulling his wagon at 7 years old; collecting TV’s, newspapers, and anything that would produce a buck. His interest’s became strong in mechanics and what is now known as “Classic Cars.” Tom became a leader, imposing great work ethics and always doing whatever it took to get the job done. Thus, helping anyone out along the way. He went from scrapping, to roofing, to trucking and towing, all while running a shop. Tom was the jack of all trades. There wasn’t a thing Tom Damron couldn’t do, except be immortal. He loved his oldies music, classic car shows, Johnny Carson, and good old John Wayne movie. The man would only drink Diet Pepsi and washed his hands with starting fluid. He cared for so many people through the years but, Ray Petit was his best friend, who sadly passed away in December 2023. Tom loved his family, unconditionally, which explained why he had “The Last Tear Drop.” He had great grief knowing he had to leave his young family behind. However, he wouldn’t of missed it for the world!

Tom was preceded in death by: his parents, Frank Damron and Marion (Phillips) Damron; former spouses, Kathy Bickham and Angela Hypes; children, Roger Damron (Missy), Charlotte Marbaugh, Thomas Damron; his siblings, David, Jeff, Paul (Erlinda), Matthew (Sharon), Bennett (Brenda), Dwight (Penny) Damron.

He is survived by his wife, of 29 1/2 years, Dominique Damron; children, Carol Gerds, Michael Damron, Christian Damron, Nicholas Damron, Dominick Damron; grandchildren, Ian, Ronnie, Amanda Damron, Roger Damron JR., Alexander Damron, Emily Damron, Mikaylynne Damron and Emerson Damron.

In Honor of Tom’s Wishes, there will be no formal service.
