Thomas “Tom” Robert Bragg Jr. age 64, born February 21, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away on June 29, 2026, at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, after a long illness.

Tom was proceeded in death by his parents, Thomas (Joyce) Bragg and Teresa (Richard) Majewski, along with cousins, Debbie Bigelow, David Bigelow, and Jerri Wolfe.

Tom is survived by his sister, Laurie A. Smothers; stepsisters, Debbie Ulrich, Annette Majewski, Martha Majewski; stepbrothers, Joe and Dave Majewski; along with 11 cousins.

Tom attended Waite High School and Macomber High School graduating in 1980.

Tom was a navy veteran for 16 years from February 1982 through December 1998, serving on both the USS Orion (AS-18) and USS America (CV-66) as an aviation supply specialist, achieving the rank of E5. After his naval service, he was a truck driver until his illness forced his retirement. Tom was active in the Kairos Prison Ministry (ToCI), Cherry Street Mission and the Men’s breakfast group, at Prince of Peace. He also worked delivering flowers for Hirtzel Brothers. His other joys were U of M football, NASCAR, his vegetable garden, baking and cooking for others, and looking after his mom and stepdad. He also looked forward to time with his Mayfly Tavern family. In his younger years, he excelled in bowling, along with playing softball and golf, but his biggest passion was fishing.

A Memorial service for Tom will be shared with family and friends at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4155 Pickle Rd. Oregon, Ohio 43616 on July 22, 2026, at 11:00 am.

The family request that all donations on Tom’s behalf go to Kairos Ministry at Toledo Correctional Institution (ToCI) or Cherry Street Mission and Ministries.
