In Loving Memory of Theodore Edward Campbell

Theodore Edward Campbell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, in Toledo, Ohio, at the age of 80. He was born on March 30, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, where he spent much of his life building a family, making memories, and leaving his mark on the people fortunate enough to know him.

Theodore attended St. Michael's School in Toledo, and throughout his life he was truly a jack of all trades. In his younger years, he worked as a truck driver before becoming a contractor and later an iron worker. He was a hardworking man who knew how to fix things, build things, and, more often than not, figure out a way to get the job done.

But beyond the many jobs and skills he had, Theodore's greatest accomplishment was the family he built with his beloved wife, Elizabeth Campbell. His wife, five children, and seven grandchildren were the center of his world. They were his greatest source of pride, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

Theodore could be a little rough around the edges-he was never one to sugarcoat things-but beneath that tough exterior was a heart that ran deep. If you were lucky enough to be welcomed into his inner circle, you had someone who would drop everything to help you. He loved fiercely, protected those he cared about, and showed his love in the way he knew best: by being there when you needed him.

He found happiness in the simple things. He loved being outdoors and taking pride in making his yard look nice. He enjoyed working on cars, playing euchre, taking long road trips, and, most of all, spending time with his family. Whether gathered around a table, enjoying a game, working on a project, or simply spending time together, those ordinary moments became the memories his family will treasure forever.

Theodore leaves behind a lifetime of stories, lessons, laughter, and memories that will continue to live on through the people he loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Campbell; his five children, Dawn Foley, Vincent Campbell, Tynan Campbell, Dorothy Campbell, and Taryn Campbell; his seven grandchildren, Zachary Campbell, Sasha Rodriguez, Shaila Foley, Tavian Campbell, Teegan Campbell, Theo Campbell, and Tessa Trevino; and his sister, Judy Jones.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Campbell; mother, Rose Marshall; and siblings, Aleatha Love Lady, Thomas Campbell, Terence Campbell, Mary "Jackie" Green, Joan Carder, Sharon Cook, Tyrone Campbell, Timothy Campbell, and Tobias Campbell.

Though his absence will leave an emptiness that cannot be filled, Theodore's family finds comfort knowing that the love he gave them will never leave. He will live on in the stories they tell, the lessons he taught, the things he built, the traditions they continue, and in every family gathering where someone inevitably says, "Dad would have loved this."

His hands may no longer be here to fix what is broken, his voice may no longer fill the room, and his chair may sit empty-but his presence will remain in the hearts of everyone who loved him.

Rest easy, Theodore. You worked hard, loved your family, and made your mark. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
