Teresa A. Majewski

On December 23, 2025, Teresa A. “Big Red” (Bragg) Majewski left us for heaven at 81 years old. Her family and friends are deeply saddened by her loss. Teresa was born on May 14, 1944, to parents Sylvester and Katherine Lantz.

Teresa grew up on the East Side and graduated from Waite H.S. in 1962. She was married to Thomas R. Bragg for 16 years. They had two children, Thomas, Jr. and Laurie Ann.

In 1986, Teresa met Howard Kahl and his love for her was a gift. Howard paid for Teresa to attend nursing school where she became an LPN. During her more than 20-year career, Teresa worked many rest homes caring for the elderly folks, which she truly loved.

A few years later, Teresa met and married Richard Majewski. They shared 16 years of marriage until his passing in August 2025. During those years Teresa was a member of the Christian Biblical Church of God in Waterville. She truly loved the many friends who helped her spiritually, including her dear friend Gail whom she loved like a sister.

Family was very important to Teresa, and the time she spent with her grandchildren, Amber and Haylee Marie, was very special to her.

Teresa loved playing Scrabble and bingo, fishing, and bowling in leagues. She never missed an episode of The Price is Right.

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Katherine; sister Cecilia, and husband, Richard. She is survived by her children, Thomas, Jr. and Laurie Ann, and her grandchildren, Amber and Haylee Marie.

A special heartfelt thanks to Gail, Doug and Carol Janney, and Martha. Your care and love for Mom meant more than you could ever know. Teresa chose a private cremation after which her ashes will be scattered on Lake Erie in the spring by family.
