Teddy Ted Tyner

Teddy “Ted” Tyner passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2019 at his home. He was born on April 21, 1943 in Paragould, AR to JB and Kathryn (McDuffee) Tyner. Ted married Linda (Davis) Tyner in 1964 and she survives. Also surviving are his sons, Timothy & Todd. He is the proud grandfather of Tiffany (Quinnice) McCarver, Brittany (Steve Baker) Tyner, Brandon (Nicole Moon) Tyner & Arron (Shelby Weber) McFarland. Ted is also blessed with 4 great-grandchildren, Steven & Zaiden Baker and Mayla & Zariah McCarver. He has had a close relationship with his brother-in-law, Mike (Shelia) Davis & many special nieces and nephews. Jodi Schanke has been a special friend to him, like the daughter he never had. He retired from Powertrain after 30 years. He had a love for music, played bass and piano for many years for country, southern rock and gospel groups. He loved dogs and had many all his life, including his current pets, Izzy & Butterball, who he loved dearly. His most enjoyment in recent years came from the bible study groups he attended at Mainstreet Church. He loved the fellowship and loving support from the friends in his small groups as he grew in his faith after many years of wandering away from his beliefs. He had come back to the roots of his faith and was prepared for his heavenly home with our Lord. He had found his shelter! Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Mainstreet Church, 5465 Moline Martin Rd., Walbridge, OH 43465, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider Mainstreet Church, Dementia Society, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
