Suzanne ONeil of Lyons, Ohio passed away peacefully May 13, 2016 from complications of Parkinsons Disease and Lewy Body Dementia, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 23, 1930 to Newton and Eva Smith in Wauseon, Ohio and they preceded her in death. She married the love of her life, William ONeil, on July 25, 1953 and together they had 5 children. She loved spending time on Devils Lake and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was witty, funny and loved to dance to anything that had a rock and roll beat. She was member of the Devils Lake Yacht Club, teachers aide at Evergreen Elementary school, FCHC volunteer, and member of St. Caspers Parish and the former Our Lady of Fatima Parish/Rosary Alter Society, Lyons, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Virginia Becker, and nephew, John Becker. Surviving are her children, J.T. ONeil, John (Kathy Maher) ONeil, Cathy (Jerry) Sullivan, Jim (Bonnie Potts) ONeil, and Peggy (Jim) Hudik, 14 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren, cousin, Margaret Clifford, sister-in-law, Bea ONeil and many nieces and nephews. She was a second mother to her nephew, George (Janice) Becker III, and nieces Bonnie (Tom) Rashley and Connie (Jim) Geckler. A special thank you goes to Dr. Lawrence Elmer and Molly Scott at UTMC Gardner McMasters Parkinsons Center, the Bixby Hospital ER and Dr. Ahlstrom, the very compassionate 3rd floor nursing staff and the loving staff at Gaslight Assisted Living. A memorial service will be held June 3, 2016 at St. Caspers Catholic Church in Wauseon, Ohio. Visitation will be from 9-11am with a funeral mass and burial to follow.
