Suzan L. Sherlock

Suzan Louise (Zeller) Sherlock, 67, of Toledo, OH peacefully joined her Lord and Savior on April 19, 2023. She graduated from Woodward High School in 1973, followed by graduation from nursing school. Sue was an LPN in the neuro unit at Toledo Hospital for 30 years. Her main passion besides her family was her servant life at Messiah Lutheran Church, which she had been a member of since the age of 3. Her dedication to the church was evident in the many positions she held and the many lives she had touched. From the youth to the elderly, she loved them all.

Sue loved to travel, cook (especially for others), and visit the casinos. She learned to crochet just a few years ago and managed and excel at it, making blankets and animals for all of her grandchildren and great nieces and nephews and anyone else who would ask.

Sue was preceded in death by her father James Zeller and sister-in-law Laurie Zeller. She is survived by her loving mother, buddy, and companion Donna Zeller; her loving husband of almost 47 years, Donald; children, Samantha (Ben) Bolbach and Stephanie Sherlock; grandchildren, Lucas, Adeline, Lily, and Evangeline; sisters Diane (Jon) Barbara, Brenda (Jim) Cureton, and brother Martin Zeller; sister-in-law Carol (David) Niezgoda, brother-in-law James Sherlock; many, many nephews and nieces and great nieces and nephews. She leaves her family members to cherish her memory and to carry on her joyful service.

A memorial service commemorating Sue’s life will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4703 Summit St., Toledo, OH. The family will welcome guests at 2:30 p.m. with service following at 3:30 p.m. Those wishing to donate in Sue’s memory are asked to consider Messiah Lutheran Church.
