Susan J. Reichert

Susan Jean Reichert, age 76 passed away at UTMC on March 18, 2023. Susan was born to H.H. "Rip" and Jane Ripple on February 4, 1947 at Toledo Hospital. Sue was a graduate of Anthony Wayne High School and Stautzenberger College. After high school she was a cashier at Rinks Bargain City, and a housewife as well. Some of her fondest memories are the ones made while both her and her first husband owned the Michael Hickey Flowers in Maumee during the mid 1990s. Following that she worked at Value City where she met her current husband Kevin Reichert whom she married in 2000.

She was known to love many things outside of her love for her family. She loved Roosters (anything rooster made it to her home for decorations). She had a fond love for books and for walking around any type of Antique store, finding the most neat or rare items made for a fun shopping trip. Sue could be found in the kitchen most of the time either baking requested delicious baked goods or a nice home cooked meal. Sue was also known as the "Christmas Queen". She loved to decorate for Christmas and decorating multiple Christmas trees was always a favorite pastime of hers.

Sue leaves behind her loving husband of 23 years, Kevin Reichert. Sons Alex "Rip" Hickey, Adam (Leslie) Reichert and Evan Reichert (Cherith). Grandsons Reese Hickey (Avery), Connor Hickey and Morgan Reichert. Sister Marjorie. Sue also leaves behind a cherished friend and friendship with Deb and Lee Sanders. As well as many other friends and family members.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Michael Hickey, sister Jane and youngest son Jake Hickey who recently passed away on January 19, 2023.

In remembrance of both Susan and Jake, the family is having a celebration of life that will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023. The location is the Rossford Rec Center, 400 Dixie Highway, Rossford, Ohio 43460 from 3- 5 pm.
