It is with great sadness that we announce Susan “Sue, Q, Mom, Oma” Greenwood-Kujawa passed away suddenly on January 1, 2026 at the age of 63.
Susan was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished sister and sister-in-law, and a proud Oma. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into caring for them. She found immense joy being an Oma, and insisted on providing a full wardrobe for her grandson, Foster, at every age and size.
Extremely affectionate and endlessly giving, Susan was always looking for ways to help those around her. Whether it was offering a listening ear, lending a helping hand, or putting others’ needs before her own, she had a rare gift for making people feel seen and supported. She was especially notorious for sending anonymous gift cards to those she felt were in need (if you ever received a gift card anonymously, she was the angel). Her kindness was not occasional, it was the way she lived every day.
Professionally, Susan was a dedicated realtor who truly loved her work. She found deep fulfillment in helping people find the perfect home and took great pride in guiding others through one of the most meaningful moments of their lives. Susan grew close to and continued lifelong friendships with many of her clients.
Susan was a graduate of Whitmer High School (1981) and the University of Toledo (1987). She was still close with many of the friends she met along the way.
Born January 8, 1963 to Robert and Marion (Haupricht) Greenwood, she leaves behind her loving husband, Jim Kujawa; children, Jackie (Hank) Kujawa-Cole and Neil (Annie) Kujawa; grandson Foster Cole; sister, Sandra (Douglas) Greenwood-Mominee, and a list too great to compile of close friends that Susan would likely consider family.
Susan requested no funeral service (going so far as saying she would haunt the family if a service was held). The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude or The Toledo Humane Society.
She is deeply missed and will be forever loved.
