Steven N. Melia

Steve Noel "Irish" Melia, Age 71, of Defiance Ohio, passed Away On January 10, 2023 at CHP of Defiance, surrounded by family.

He Was Born February 26,1951 to DeLios "Toad" George Melia and Joan Katherine (Grawbarger) Figley at Defiance Hospital.

Steve attended Davis College where he received his Associates Degree. He served in the United States Army from 1971-1973. He was a deputy sheriff and a member of the Elks Lodge in Defiance. Steve liked watching sports, listening to music, sitting next to bonfires, and spending quality time with friends and family. He will be greatly missed by his family and many good friends.

Steve is survived by his mother, Joan Katherine "Grawbarger" Figley; son, Ryan Melia of Defiance; sister, Kris (Pat) Tipton of Defiance; brothers, Mike Melia of Fort Wayne, Cary Melia of Holgate, Cory Melia  of Napoleon, and Dave (Danielle) Figley of Ayersville. He was preceded in death by his father, DeLios "Toad" George Melia.

There will be a celebration of life announced at a later date.
