Steve Bilger

Steve Bilger, born September 7, 1976, was tragically taken from his loved ones, one day after his 40th birthday. He was born in Tiffin, OH to Dale Bilger of Bloomville Ohio, and Carla Walters of Clearwater Florida, who survive him. He is also survived by his grandmother, Marian Waldbauer, along with his brother, Bob, and two sisters, Dana and Sherry.” He is preceded in death by his brother, Mike. Steve married Cheri Day on July 17, 2011, they have a daughter, Lilly.” Steve also has a son, Devyn and stepson, Tristen, from a previous marriage with Alecia Smith.” All who survive him. He also has numerous nephews, nieces, in-laws and friends who love him and whose lives he made a significant impact on. Steve was an extremely considerate man, who was always willing to help out family and friends and strangers in need of assistance, any time or anywhere.” He was always willing to give up his time to help.” He rarely passed a stranded motorist without stopping to help, and had been known to drive over 50 miles in the middle of the night to help a friend in need. A truck driver and mechanic by trade, he had many hobbies that he was very passionate about.” Antiquing, photography, and urbex, which is exploring and photographing abandoned urban decay.” Steve was also proficient in carpentry, roofing, plumbing, electric, and anything automotive related and was an expert in classic Mustangs, and part recognition by a serial number. Most recently, Steve was honored to be one of the few truck drivers to haul and deliver a piece of the twin towers to the 9-11 memorial at Toledo Memorial Park in Toledo, Ohio.” An honor that he was extremely proud of and considered it to be a crowning moment of his career. Steve was a very giving man during his life, and in the spirit of giving he had registered as an Organ and Tissue Donor.” Knowing that even in his passing, he could potentially help save the lives of many people.” As of this writing, he has saved a minimum of four lives. Steve despised the thought of a funeral or anybody mourning his death.” His wishes are no visitation and a cremation with no funeral service.” There will be a small celebration of his life with family and friends.
