Stella Morlock

Stella Elizabeth Morlock (94) of Toledo Ohio passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones on Saturday, March 11th 2023.

Stella was born to Patrick and Elizabeth Ray on January 8th, 1929 in Liverpool England. In 1950, she met the love of her life James “moe'' Morlock, a soldier in the United States Air Force. The couple were married January 6th, 1951 and settled in his hometown of Toledo Ohio. The couple had one son in 1952, which they loved and cherished. Following her husband's passing in 1981, Stella remained in the home she shared with Moe until her death. Stella was a longtime member of the “Little Flower Catholic Church” and in later years also attended “Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church”.

In 1984, she became a U.S. citizen, and also learned how to drive at the age of 51 years old. Stella loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren,which included: bowling, playing cards, going to garage sales, and taking walks in her quiet neighborhood. She also was a big fan of the Detroit Tigers, watching Seinfeld, along with her two favorite British TV shows (“Are you being Served” and “Keeping up Appearances”). Stella loved spending time with her nieces and nephews in Texas, and was also known for making the world's best cup of tea, which is something her family will cherish and never forget.

Stella is preceded in death by her husband, James P Morlock. She is survived by her loving son James P Morlock Jr of Toledo, Ohio, her grandchildren: Amy(Nathan) Ways of Lambertville, MI, Jimmy(Jessica) Morlock of Holland, OH, Zachary Morlock of Maumee, OH, along with her ex-daughter-in-law Patricia Morlock of Maumee,OH. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren: Mathew, Andrew, Benjamin, Paisley, Cassidi, Mason, and Norah.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 1, at 11 am. It will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes, 6149 Hill Ave, Toledo OH. The mass will be followed by a graveside burial.
