Stacey Rae Baum (Wozniak), passed away unexpectedly in her sleep, on January 13, 2025, at the age of 62. She was born on March 8, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio, to Ida and Richard Wozniak.
Stacey is survived by her daughter, Stephanie McCarty; mother, Ida Wozniak; sisters, Monica Wozniak, Audra (Richard) Trevino, Kelly Wozniak, Tricia Wozniak (Mark Crampton); brother, Jon Wozniak; grandchildren; one new great-grandchild; her dear friend, Jeff Galyas; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Stacey was preceded in death by her son, Phillip M Baum III; and her father, Richard J Wozniak.
She graduated from Libbey High School and later continued her education to obtain an accounting degree, allowing her to do taxes and such. She was getting ready to become an STNA when she had her motorcycle accident that injured her leg and made it impossible to do so.
She always enjoyed gathering with friends or family, for any occasion but in recent years it was more difficult for her to get around. She liked to camp, she was a Buckeyes fan, she had 3 cats, and she shot darts & pool in leagues. Stacey loved spending time with her grandchildren, Graecius, Page, Phillip, and her new great-granddaughter, June Rae.
Stacey always ended a conversation, text, or phone call with “love you”. She was a friend to many; she had a huge heart and was always quick to ask if you needed anything. She was taken too young, but we know she is resting now and no longer in pain.
Stacey will be cremated at the Cremation Society of Toledo.
The family will have a Celebration of Life for her on Saturday, March 8, 2025, – to celebrate her life on her birthday. It will be at the Fraternal Order of Eagle in Rossford, Ohio, 658 Lime City Road, from 3:00-7:00 pm. We will have a blessing over her ashes at 4:00 pm and a meal will be provided.
