Sonya M. Sigarroa

Sonya Maris Sigarroa, 35, was called home on September 10, 2023. Sonya was born October 7, 1987 to Gladys (Ahedo) Sigarroa and Rito Sigarroa III.

Sonya is preceded in death by her great grandparents Francesca Hernández and Guadalupe Hernández, maternal grandparents Felipa (Torres) Gonzalez and Eligio Gonzalez, uncle Luis A. Ahedo and aunt Rita Sigarroa.

Sonya is survived by her grandparents Hortencia (Hernandez) Castro and Benito Castro, Rito Sigarroa Jr. sisters Anna E. Sigarroa and Luisa M. Sigarroa. Sonya left behind three children Isabel J. Sigarroa Mitchell, Kendal J. Alexander Jr and Giselle M. Alexander, and had loving aunts and several cousins.

Sonya attended Libbey High School and Owens Community College. Sonya loved working at Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital were she made many friends. Sonya loved to go fishing, drawing, painting, cooking, getting tattoos, playing Call of Duty, binge watching The Walking Dead, playing cards with her sister Luisa and Anastasia Scott, and taking naps with her sister Luisa and her daughter Isabel. She also loved spending time with her cousins Vanessa Garza, Priscilla Alvarado, Esperanza Montano just being goofy.

Sonya was so full of life, and always the life of the party. Sonya will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.

A benefit will be held in Sonya's honor on her birthday October 7, 2023, at Homeboys Sports Bar and Grill 502 Main Street Toledo, Ohio 43605 at 4pm.
