Sigrun E. Kurdys

April 1, 1943 — July 25, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sigrun Edda Kurdys. Edda passed away peacefully on the morning of July 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Edda believed in putting others first and being kind simply because it was the right thing to do. She loved to be out in nature and will be remembered for her commitment and compassion to all animals in need. She will live on in the memories and hearts of those who loved her best. There was no limit to the love she gave and everyone she met felt it.

Edda was a most generous soul, who always put her family first and gave without hesitation. Her unwavering belief in her families happiness were the cornerstones of her beautiful life. We will miss her deeply, love her always and carry her spirit with us every day.

Edda is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Ronald; her daughters Kristina (Sean) Stewart and Karen Kurdys; her granddaughter Sydney (Jaime) Annexy.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday October 5, 2025, at Middlegrounds metro park, in Toledo, Ohio, from 2:00-5:00pm. All who knew and loved Edda are welcome to join in remembering a life richly lived and deeply loved.
