Shirley A. Malecki

Shirley Ann Malecki, age 83, passed away on November 5, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born in Toledo, OH on June 10, 1939, to Joanna and Louis Malecki.

Shirley attended St. Ursula academy and graduated in 1957. She proudly served in the United States Navy and just as proudly worked for Jeep, from which she retired in 2001.

She loved her family and was a wonderful friend to many who lovingly called her “Smokey”. Shirley was an avid pet lover, loved to read, and was a huge football fan, specifically of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Green Bay Packers. She had many interests and was truly a unique and interesting person.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberley (Malecki) Erdman; son-in-law, Jeff Erdman; grandchildren, Hali Malecki, Dustin Malecki, and Holden Shaw; great-grandchildren, Carissa Lagger and Parker Gordon.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Joanna and Louis Malecki, as well as many beloved friends and many beloved pets.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 1 - 4 PM at The Cremation Society of Toledo.
