First, Shirley Ann (Kornmeier) Duchene is to be held in high esteem for the quality of love she gave to others. Not only her family and friends, but animals and her gardens. She showered her love in many ways, being friendly, a great listener, being kind, and generous with her time and love. The love of her life was George Thomas Duchene, her husband of 64 years. She expressed that love by 5 children with him. They both taught their children to be loving, as seen in their grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her true message, shown by example is to love everyone always. She taught us to follow our dreams, have wings, and to thy own self to be true. We walked together, talked together, laughed, and cried together, broke bread together, and created memories that we will forever cherish.
