Shirley A. Brown

Shirley Ann Brown (Konopinski-Martin) Our beloved mother passed away April 5, 2009 in the arms of her children at Wood Co. Hospital, Bowling Green. She was born September 30, 1937 and attended both Libbey and Whitney Vocational High Schools from which she graduated in 1956. She worked for The Salvation Army for 24 years, retiring as the warehouse supervisor in 2002. She enjoyed spending time fishing, gardening, knitting, and bingo with her kids whom she leaves to cherish her memory. Surviving are her children, Julie (Mark) Rodriquez, Larry (Marcus) Martin, Diann Higgins, John Martin, Maxine (Darrell) Shearer, and Micheal (Renee) Martin; 17 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Dewitt, sister Nancy Bestwick, and great-grandaughter Faith. Shirley has been cremated according to her wishes and a memorial Mass will be held Thursday April 23, 2009 at 10am at St Aloysius Catholic Church 150 S. Enterprise St. Bowling Green, Oh. The family will receive friends afterwards at the Center Township Fire station, 9986 Bowling Green Road East from 12-2pm and 4-7pm. Cremation Society of Toledo/Kiser Funeral Service has been entrusted with Shirleys care. Online condolences may be made below.
