She was preceded in death by her father, Allen Jay Black; her stepfather, Glenn Bliss Sr., and many beloved family members, including her long-time friend and birthday partner, Brenda (Stacy) Bliss.
A proud graduate of Fremont Ross High School in 1985, Sheri dedicated her life to being a devoted mother and wife. On April 17, 1996, she married her beloved husband, John Smith, with whom she shared over 25 joyful years. Throughout her life, Sheri gracefully balanced her work commitments at Super America, Pizza Hut, and Cheap Tobacco, often choosing part-time positions to ensure her children and grandchildren received the care and attention they deserved.

She possessed a natural ability to make everyone around her feel safe and welcome, treating people with genuine, non-judgmental compassion that drew them to her. She was always ready to fight for those in need, believing that no one should ever feel alone.
Life for Sheri was a series of wonderful adventures with her family and friends. She cherished moments spent gathering for parties, camping trips, and creating memories at her beloved cabin in Marblehead. A true nurturer, Sheri was also a devoted caretaker for her father during his battle with cancer.
She is survived by her two children, Alexis (Thomas) Tonkin and Levi (Kim) Post, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Gabriela McCurdy, Tommy Tonkin, Aubrey Kerbel, Aslynn Post, Amelia Post, Wyatt Post, Norah Bradford, Madison Tonkin, Cassidy Tonkin, and Anthony Tonkin. Sheri fought courageously to witness and be a part of their lives, always there for them whenever they needed her.
