Shaun C. Barnes

Shaun Barnes, 67, of rural Fremont, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

He was born November 2, 1955, in Fremont, Ohio, to Richard and Mary (Mann) Barnes. He married the love of his life, Linda (Weller) Barnes in 2001, who preceded him in death in 2011.

He is survived by two step-daughters, LaVonna (Chris) Schank of Tiffin, and Dawn Williams of Fostoria; siblings, Richard (Deb) Barnes of Toledo, Kathy Pniewski of Florida, Paul (Karen) Barnes of Michigan, Denny Barnes of Fremont; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 3 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Barnes, Daryl Barnes and Stan Barnes; and nephew, Jason Barnes.

Shaun attended Clyde High School and then later became an IBEW electrician. He had two great loves of his life, his wife, Linda, and music. He enjoyed cooking, collecting vinyl records, attending concerts, and sitting on his dock on the river.

There will be a private graveside service at St. Mary's Cemetery at later date.
