Sharon L. Mcvicker

Sharon L. McVicker, 78, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away peacefully at home early Sunday morning, November 27, 2016, after a year-long battle with cancer.” Sharon was born on May 20, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio to Russell and Evelyn (Gross) Clarke. Sharon worked for the AP Company for several years then continued her career in the banking business until she retired in 2013 from Directions Credit Union.” Sharons favorite hobbies were crocheting, reading, watching movies, and collecting porcelain dolls and wades.” Sharon was the oldest of 12 children, known as the family matriarch, who loved spending as much time as she could with her siblings, especially her sisters. Sharon is survived by her loving daughter, Cindi (Dwight) Mills; grandchildren, Brooke (Tom) Parr, Blake Benton; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Parr; and brothers and sisters, Tom (Cecelia) Clarke, Doris Rober, Helen (Jerry) Price, Betty (Marvin) Dussia, Richard (Sharon) Clarke, Rosie (Mike) Hall, Mary Clarke, Russell (Glenda) Clarke, Debbie (Larry) Piddock, and Jeff Clarke; and many nieces and nephews.” She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Harry Joe Clarke. She was courageous in her fight against lung cancer and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.” The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the loving care shown to Sharon during her final days.
